Celebrating Halloween with Inclusion & Fun
Halloween is just around the corner, and we want to make sure every child has a chance to enjoy it safely and joyfully. Below are ways to celebrate and safety reminders tailored for our special needs community.
Inclusive Halloween Ideas
- Offer non-food treats (stickers, small toys, glow sticks) for kids with dietary restrictions or sensory sensitivities. Michigan Medicine+1
- Keep costumes comfortable and non-restrictive. Avoid scratchy fabrics, masks that impair vision, or heavy, tripping-length garments. Marcus+2Pediatric Center - Pediatric Center+2
