Dear Phenomenal Women, Powerful Parents, and Our Beautiful Special Needs Community,
March is a month of strength, reflection, and celebration. It is a time when we honor International Women’s Day (March 8) a global celebration of the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women. For me, March 8 is even more meaningful because it is also my birthday. On this day, I reflect not only on another year of life, but on purpose, perseverance, and the power of advocacy.
As mothers, caregivers, advocates, educators, and leaders especially within the special needs community we carry extraordinary strength. We attend IEP meetings prepared. We research therapies late at night. We advocate when systems try to silence us. We love fiercely. And we refuse to give up.
This month, I celebrate YOU.
🌟 Empowerment Through Resources
Knowledge is power — and access changes outcomes. Below are trusted national resources that support children with special needs and their families:

💜 International Women’s Day – March 8
This year, as we celebrate International Women’s Day, I want every mother raising a child with special needs to know:
You are not “just a mom.”
You are a strategist.
You are a researcher.
You are a negotiator.
You are a protector.
You are a leader.
Women in our community are breaking generational cycles, dismantling stigma, challenging systems, and building platforms for inclusion. We are rewriting narratives for our children.
And as I celebrate another birthday on March 8, my prayer is simple:
That we continue walking in purpose.
That we continue speaking truth to power.
That we continue building spaces where our children are seen, heard, and valued.
🌷 March Reflection
This month, I encourage you to:
- Advocate boldly.
- Rest intentionally.
- Celebrate small wins.
- Ask for help when needed.
- Pour into yourself as much as you pour into your child.
You cannot pour from an empty cup. Your wellness matters too.
