Dear SharonKingWorldWide Community,
A fresh new month is here — full of sunshine, growth, and new beginnings. As we move into the second half of the year, take a moment to reflect on how far you’ve come. Whether you’re a single parent holding it down, a grandparent stepping up, or a family navigating the ups and downs of special needs parenting — you are doing an amazing job. Your strength does not go unnoticed.
July is National Minority Mental Health Awareness Month
Created in honor of author and advocate Bebe Moore Campbell, this month reminds us of the importance of mental health in Black and Brown communities — especially for families who carry so much on their shoulders. Let this month be a reminder to:
- Take care of your mind and body.
- Ask for help when you need it — that’s strength, not weakness.
- Make room for rest. You cannot pour from an empty cup.
- Check in on your children’s mental health too. Special needs children often carry more than they show.

Mental Health America (MHA) offers culturally responsive tools for minority families. Visit www.mhanational.org for resources.

Encouragement for the Journey
To every family feeling overwhelmed — you are not alone.
To every single parent doing double duty — your love is more than enough.
To every grandparent raising grandchildren — your wisdom is a gift.
You may not have all the answers, but you have all the love, and that’s what matters most. Progress may be slow, but every step counts. Don’t forget to celebrate the small wins.
💌
Uplifting Words for July
- “You are allowed to outgrow what no longer fits — including old versions of yourself.”
- “Grace over guilt. Progress over perfection.”
- “Even in the chaos, you are planting seeds of greatness.”
